Meet Nick

Nick Poortman

Born and raised in New Zealand, Nick Poortman always aspired to become a world class Audio Engineer.

He has already accomplished a lot in his recent engineering years, working with bands and producers from around the world and earning a reputation both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom as a highly skilled and motivated engineer. Nick pursued engineering from a young age and quickly made a name for himself. He engineered and mixed albums before he was 20, covering various genres – ranging from funk to punk, jazz to metal.

Nick is now a well established freelance engineer, and has been working throughout New Zealand on recordings of all sizes and styles. He has an array of writers, arrangers, session musicians and vocalists available for any session, and with Nick’s engineering and production talents you’ll be overwhelmed with the results.

Nick is now based in New Zealand, often travelling between cities for sessions however is primarily based between Auckland and Christchurch, and is available for both local and international projects.
